Recently been painting rear of my 1995 90. So removed the rear LEDs. I know when installed the brake lights were working.

but plugging them back in today they were intermittent- sometimes lighting. Sometimes just flicking on as pressing and releasing pedal.

it seemed depending on direction of pressing pedal left or right would change this

does this sound like a problem with the brake pedal switch. Thanks.

Sounds a bit odd. Unlikely to be switch if it was working correctly before. Are the LEDs both in the correct way? Have the earth poinys at the rear been damaged, forgotten about, or painted over?

It does now lol..... try with a multimeter or a normal bulb to test at lamp end. Check your ground from lamps, all to easy to get fixated with the 'have i got power' thing etc
Leds use hardly any current, so you could have disturbed an ' already on the way out' break in feed to rear lamps, but the tell tail here os the pedal, so points to the switch or cable connections to the switch.

They are bolt on bits leds so complete lamp not just bulb. Trouble is not 100 sure they worked last week. Just they did before

If one rear light was unplugged would it stop both working? Just wondering if one is faulty.

is there a way to access the backs of the lamps?
