Hi All,

I have just agreed to buy a 2010 Freelander 2 GS from my parents at trade in money, so think I ve got a good deal as its only done 43k.

Really nice vehicle apart from the cloth interior letting it down. Has anyone retro fitted aleather one, or is there a guide on this site of what to do and things to look out for. Just thinking about connecting heated/electric seats.

Thanks

Simon

It's been done many times, although I don't know if anyone on here has done it.
It should be reasonably easy to swap out. Some of the leather front seats are powered, so would need wiring for those.

Is the TD4 E the front wheel drive FL2?

Looked under the seats and it appears the wiring is in place.

Just wondering where the heated seat buttons would be placed, so

The one I'm getting is constant 4x4 I belive

Hi David.
The photo below shows where the heated seat switches reside, taken today from my FL2 Arctic

You'll need to replace the heater controls for one with the heated seat switches (pictured above). Then I believe you'll need to have the HVAC ECU updated to make the seat heating work.
