So 4 months ago I fitted new front sunroof gutters as mine had been badly fixed. I sealed them in correctly. Last week or so the headlining at the very front is getting wet. So I pulled the lining down and as expected the sunroof/gutters are bone dry however I’ve noticed the water ingress seems to be from both top corners of the windscreen where the water seems to run off from the gutters. Is there a reason for why it leaks here and suggestions as to how I cure it?

cheers

Ben

Yes it worked on mine also. I used good quality black sealant and it has been fine for 12months. Do the rain gutters also as the sealant there goes bad. That captain birdsey stuff works well on that, plus some sealant.
On the screen, make sure you seal any holes at the end of the rain gutter where it meets the top seal. Thats a problem area.

Looking at the technical bulletin is it possible to apply waterproof silicone without touching the seal. I’m conscious that trying to bend the seal may damage it and the potential ingress point has to be on the lower part of the corner as that is where the gutter exits. Assuming it is the water running off the gutter that causes the issue, a tactically placed smear of sealant should divert it away from the problem area?

Captain Tolley's creeping crack cure is good for dribbling into smaller leaks and then topping off with Sikaflex or similar. Will be able to get it down the windscreen seal without bending it back much.

I’ve got then Captain Tolleys now however I think I may have found the culprit... looks like Theresa hole in the corner as per technical bulletin provided earlier. I’m assum this allows the water to sneak down the a post inside?

Arrow is pointing to the hole in the corner. I think it looks perished around the outer edge too

Yep, that's exactly the issue I had. The captain T's sorted it. Just make sure you pour in, allow to settle/set and then reapply. I applied about 4 lots before it stopped being absorbed but it's none dry inside now!

Good luck
