for anyone ells whos reading the thread maybe you can help. my steering box has been leaking but the leaking has stopped and the resovoir is still full with fluid. the steering gone heavy as hell..... any Suggestions?
cheers for the replymine is same age and went before i bought the vehicle - was like driving a tank - i replaced the box and it fixed it - mine was also leaking from same place as in picture above! Replacing box was very easy, took me a few hours, and quite a lot of that was undoing the resevoir to box pipe, which was stuck tight!
I tried the cap full of brake fluid about 2 months ago and bingo!
I know its not permenant but it buys you some time!
cheers for the reply
was it easy to repair. did it come apart easy?
