Hi, I have a 1988 90 with a leaking roof. I have spent ages trying to findthe ingress point, the water just runs out of the inner sill that runs alongthe bottom of the roof to the rearand into front foot well, soaks you flipping knees! It is not due to condensation and it does not seemto be coming in through the mainroof panel. I cleared the outer sillsand sealed any apparent metal spaces in the summer but it is still leaking.
Has anyone had this problem? Does anyone have any ideas for fixes?

I had same problem with my 1987 90, witchever way I parked there was a shower of water ether to front or rear, from the inner gutters, anytime it rained there would be internal water, and the gutters were full of water .i regularly used micro cloths to remove the water.
The cure, obtain a tube of BLACK TIGER SEAL, and a mastic tube dispenser, also white spirit, and mutton cloth, or old rags..... Now warm up the seal, half submerged in warm water, fit tube into dispenser, THEN carefully cut tip off of dispenser point, ( quite fine ), Now, work in panel sections, use cloth soaked in white spirit, and lightly rub, and clean panel joints as you find, then apply the Tiger Seal to ALL joints,
Return to each joint after about twenty mins, to half hour, using the white spirit rags, carefully wipe away excess seal, leaving joints fully sealed and tidy. NOTE, you can always return to any suspect joints again.
I found that the job took about four hours to do, ( my roof is of the old external ribbed type, more joints ), also take extra care sealing across joint between front roof, and top front window seal joint, plus the two front bulkhead fresh air vents, ,,mine had the good quality rubber seals, but still needed tiger seal carefully run, and smoothed round the perimeters of same.
After carrying out the above work to my 90, about nine months ago, I found that there were still two points of water entry, FIRST was at the door joint level with each front door top hing, I have applied a small black draught seal strip to the inner closing door faces, where existing frame rubber needed filling in. SECOND, was,, due to me, at the offside rear corner, where the flank ally has been turned back against rear narrow panel, ( where curtesy window is fitted,), a minor amount of water was finding its way in, it was my fault, because whilst carrying out the joint sealing job, I had thought, NO, no water will get in though that vertical joint but it did. So a fine run with the seal, and all was well. COST Tiger Seal,, £9.00., White Spirit,, £3.00., Mastic Dispenser,, £3.00,, One of your old tee shirts Job Done.
