Roger looks like another one post wonder !!!
maybe the talk of horses scared him lame
my rear disco sunroof leaked for ages, so I carefully took it out one summers day to clean everything, had my head through the hole in the roof only to look down to see my glass sunroof jump up in the back, and slide out, and shatter into 1000`s of pieces....
so I cut a piece of clear plastic sheet as a for now job....
that lasted about 2 or more years
by then it was pishing in again..
so earlier in the summer, took everything out including the frame, cut a shape out bigger then the hole, cleaned the roof 100%,
put 2 circles (ok long ovals) of good black sealent on the roof to be inside the newly cut shaped replacement of galvo sheet steel, slapped it on the roof, and put about a dozen good sized good quality stainless blind ended pop rivites through after drilling, but done so on equi spacing as not to distort roof nor steel capping....
had a cup of tea & sarnie,
as it was blazing hot, i`d left a new tin of matching black oil based paint plus brush, so then gave it two coats of paint...
I`ve left the inside roof as is, as its galvo, and the roof lining is staying up...
but may give it a squirt of no nails around the ex sunroof fitting, to bond it to the roof insides...
NO more leaks - no smelly boot floor either.....
