Leaking fuel pipe

One of the fuel pipes on my td5 disco is leaking diesel out of it.I think it's the return pipe because it comes from front of disco and not from pump. Anyway,its a plastic pipe which looks likes it been rubbing on the cross member just at front of the fuel tank,went and ordered a new pipe but have to wait till tues before it comes. What i want to know is how do i get to the top of tank to replace pipe?thought if i undid bottom strap it might drop down but was having a look this morn and it looks like tank sits on the main chassis beams or is there a plate you can undo in the boot to get at the pipes(wishful thinking i know!! )

Your wish is granted! The plate you seek is under the carpet in the boot. you will find it if you seek well, but it is only visible to those of good intention.

Be strong and true and the access cover will be there, turn to the path of darkness and it will not appear. I feel that the force is strong within you, use it.

so are you saying that i need to get the grinder out??? or does this plate really exist

It exists .... justy take out the carpet bar inside the back door first, if you just pull the carpet you might break it and you have to remove it to get the carpet back in properly anyway!
