The rear window doesnt always go right back up when locking. Hence water in boot. The box is fine on the floor so its not coming from underneath . Would replacinng the door seal help ? I ve noticed gap in top corner when its shut . Any ideas? I have to push the glass up a few mil any ideas folks. Its a freelander 1 . Thanks

Probably get more replies if you ask in the Freelander section.

It could be one of two issues. Either the window is out of calibration, or the cables have stretched and about to fail. Unfortunately the latter can fail completely if you try to calibrate the window.

I wasn't looking forward to fitting a replacement rear window mechanism either.

In actual fact though, its quite easy.

Pulling the door trim is probably the most challenging bit!

Other than that it really is just a few bolts mounting the runners and clamp at the top and a loom connector. Its especially easy if you can lower the glass to see the clamp bolts.

Do not try replacing the wire, replace the whole lot.
