L322 Leak from High Pressure Pump

Wow, never seen a build up like that Normal cleaning of intercoolers and metal inlet manifolds, I use Acetone but can't be used on the port.
I would make sure the inlet valve is closed then scrape it off and use a vacuum cleaner to suck up the residue.
The question is, why would there be a build up like that on what I assume is an inlet port?

That sounds like a good call

I was wondering the same, I have an egr bypass kit on, which was fitted when I bought it, everything leading to the bypass kit too is even worse.

The port there is actually one of the better ones! Vacuum is a good idea, I'll get that sorted next weekend.

All this from getting a service! One the upside the pump is now out

...just a shed load more work to do now

Could do with some more advice please

I've pressure washed out the intake manifold, cleaned out all the ports and put everything back together.

It fired up no problem and the engine sounded 100x better than before, the problem is, when I took it for a test drive there is literally no power, as in foot to floor and it doesn't go past 30mph.

There's no warning lights on, no smoke or anything obvious. Just no power.

I'm instantly thinking it the new (refurnished) pump, but it's idling perfectly.

Is there any chance I could have put the pump in wrong? It's fully inserted and the locking bolt is tight, it was actually simple to fit.

I was also thinking it could be water in the manifold too, but it was left to dry in a hot conservatory for a long time. This is a long shot though tbh.

Any advise would be appreciated.
