Wow, never seen a build up like that Normal cleaning of intercoolers and metal inlet manifolds, I use Acetone but can't be used on the port.
I would make sure the inlet valve is closed then scrape it off and use a vacuum cleaner to suck up the residue.
The question is, why would there be a build up like that on what I assume is an inlet port?
