Lcd screen on disco 4, caput?

Hi guys my mates 14 day old disco 4 sat nav/ lcd screen is not working.
Ie, its not turning on at all?
Checked fuse for him and thats ok.
I looked on another forum and some one mentioned a software update?

Any ideas before it goes back to dealer?

FFS!

Best thing to do is to take a large screwdriver and prise the screen out of the dash and soak it in a bucket of soapy water for a week - that will sort it out

Take it back, get your 60k back, and ask them to find you a nice 200tdi.

Its a software fault on the FECM and AFCM. Go get the software update done. Takes around an hour to do.
