For my light bar. Unless I can work out a pulse driven on off circuit.

I need a switch which matches either the side fog reverse cruise switches, or one which matches the heated window HDC ect switches.

Any ideas please?

You can dismantle & recombine the latching mechanism from a D2 hazard switch with the remander of a front or rear fog light switch to get a latching switch with illumination & a warning light.
It will only switch the earth side of your light relay though & need a feed back from the lights to power the warning light.
You can also modify the internals of the switch relatively easily to allow you switch the power side of the light relay (rather than the earth side). "PaulMc" on here has done some incredibly useful guides here & other forums to show how.

The other option - again courtesy of Paul Mc - is to use a Defender heated seat switch & swop the fascia for the 1 off a fog light switch. This will switch the live & is a relatively cheap switch even new (~£15 on-line)

I think the D2 switches are probably no longer in production - so the people with some stock left feel they can charge what they like.
That's why the D2 "hybrid" option or Defender options are worth pursuing. The D2 "standard" switches can be obtained from a D2 breaker relatively cheaply - usually less than £10, sometimes much less.
The Defender heated seat switch is a relative "bargain" at £15new.

Defender heated seat switch fitted with the spare cap of the set of 6 with a hole drilled for the LED

Will take it from there

Well looking at the switches the pictures on them are all cut throught the covering paint, the Def switch is a different colour to the D2 switches, but teh dummy will fit when a hole is drilled.

Sometime tomorrow I will cut a light pattern in the button cover using some modelling tools.

Earth is easy.

Get dash lights from the HDC button next to it.

But which wire do I use for a feed from the headlamp wiring. Do I go into the stalk?

I hope to get the wiring done so as soon as elbow recovers I can fit the light bar.

Inside the vehicle, main beam can be picked-up from -

C0041-5 - Source of Main Beam trigger - I can supply a 'plug-in' pickup for this (see below) -

C0585-3 and C0588-4 - Alternative source of Main Beam trigger -

C0585-3 is the other end of the cable from C0041-5 - there's no real advantage in picking-up the trigger here.

C0588-4 is an unused terminal (on UK/European spec.vehicles) on the main beam circuit (before it's split into left & right circuits), which is used as a connection to the Daytime Running Lights circuit on Canadian NAS vehicles.

C0588-4 is quite fiddly to get at (I've got my Main Beam trigger connected here, but I did have the under-dash fuse box out of the car at the time).

It requires a Sumitomo 090 female terminal to plug into the connector (I can make-up a link lead from this connector to the switch).

To pickup the main beam from C0041-5 - I make this plug-in lead -

Unplug the main lighting switch connector C0041 (you don't need to remove the switch)

Release the terminal from cavity 5 (Blue/White trace wire) - lift the terminal retainer from above the terminal, from the front of the connector - a safety pin works well for this.

This is C0041 with the terminal locking tab (in cavity 4) being pointed to -

Fit the terminal on the link harness into cavity 5 on C0041

The Blue/White wire from C0041-5 goes into the corresponding half of the 2-way connector on the other end of the short thick Blue wire.

You may find it easier to pull the Blue/White wire back below the light switch and connect it into the new connector below the steering column.
