Firstly, thanks to Ginga Beard and Paul D for their posts on finding green lanes - Extremely useful for anyone new to the activity;

While this information is superb, I am after a little help to find some suitable green lanes in the south of the lake district, preferably the south east.
The main reason for my post is that I am about as new to this as at all possible, having only had a land rover (freelander) for a few months and I have never been greenlaning. Therefore my requirements are quite specific as one thing I cannot tell about the lanes from an OS map bar abrupt changes in altitude is how difficult the drive will be.
Any advice people can offer on absolute beginner lanes, and / or scenic "off the beaten path" drives would be much appreciated. As previously mentioned the south, specifically the west would be my preference purely as I am more familiar with the area.
Thanks in advance
Dave
