Landy virgin looking for a project :)

Hi guys, my name is Ste im 28 and from the Oldham area! im interested in owning a defender 90 that i will mainly use for ferrying me and my kayak around the north west and north wales! money is tight as is with everyone so im looking at a maximum budget of £2000! im an engineer but not a mechanic so most repairs will be within my capabilities but massive engine rebuilds and huge chasis repairs are a no no! any help or advice will be greatly appreciated as i look forward to becoming a landy junky as i love them without ever having owned one :0)

hello, i think any landy is a project lol, do you have a welder?

i dont own one but have access to one through work plus a mate who has one for patching up his MR2 lol

thats good to hear, my discovery has had a new boot floor, 2 inner wings, and patch inside the o/s wheel arch

what age is your disco? do u take it off road?
