Sorry for not replying (on hols).....The ECU was naff & yes sent it to ECU testing.com...they do not send you a report with it, in fact they dont ask for feedback if the ECU worked or not !! In my case it did work & no recoding was necessary as it was my original ECU i got back. After a whole day of checking out the wiring i had both the fuel pump relay not being switched to ground or the glow plug relay (both had +12v but no ground). I knew the security module was OK as i had the "OK to Crank," also i had no COMMS with the ECU using my OBD reader. Wasn't a cheap fix but the company do offer a guarantee for life policy providing you don't cut the 3,000,000 seals they stick all over it !!! I'm convinced the oil i found in the RED plug shorted something out in the ECU so...I've fitted a replacement loom from JGS4X4 but i filled all 5 injector plugs and the loom plug with Silicone Rubber which i left to cure for 48hrs before fitting, so im sure that no oil can pass down the inner loom cores. I will however check the plug every 2 weeks until i see no sign of oil in the plug. Hope this helps any TD5 owners out there who suffer the same issue. TSSo what was actually wrong with it?
