Ok, I know many owners are attached to their Land Rovers and put a lot of effort (myself included) into making it a little more personal. I would be pretty upset if some low life took my vehicle, and to that end I have various security measures on my property to prevent such an event. But when I'm 'out and about' (when its most likely to be targeted) I have to depend on the vehicles security system. How secure that vehicles security system is depends not only on the vehicles 'built in' system, but also upon the ingenuity of the owner fitting further security ie; battery isolator, fuel cut off etc. But if ultimately the thief overcomes these deterents, it all comes down to having the vehicle properly insured.

How will that stop your vehicle being TOWED away?

The number one item to stop yer landy getting nicked is a disclock used in conjunction with the wheels being turned on full lock.

That's interesting, but I'm not sure how well that will work here with British humour in mind. Pranksters will set it off for a laugh and before you know it, you will become the the most unpopular person on your street!

Never had any problem with it to be honest lots of little scroats around here had it for two years and never had people doing it deliberety.

fine if you park it off road and dont arm it in tesco's or asda
mine is parked in the road with a fair amount of footpath traffic would be totally unusable for me

Yeah you can just disable it in high traffic areas like that, mine is parked on a road with people walking past but you can adjust the sensitvity so that it only chirps if people look directly in the vehicle for 1,2,3 seconds etc and just walking past does not set it off if it did i would be out there all times of the day and night but i suppose you have to see it to believe it though.

i had mine nicked managed to get it back what they did to it wen they had nicked it i don't what they did to it no but its never been the same since! and being without a vehicle for work for a week or two is a nightmare!
