Truth be told l will probably end up keeping the 110.

I think you will loose a tonne of money on a d4, granted they are great wagons but in 3 years time it’ll be worth half of what your defender is, and probably cost a bomb in repairs

I’ve driven a new defender, and they are absolutely lovely, I think they will be a big hit in 10 years time

l've now read up on the D4 engine issues and am not prepared to take the chance on one.

l thought it was just an oil leak, but there's an issue with the centre crankshaft bearing and there's nothing you can do about it, if it fails it's new engine time at over £10,000

You need to get over this hankering for a bit of luxury and being able to drive comfortably without having your arm out of the window and keep your beloved Defender !
