As the title says I want to fit a gen 1 engine into a gen 2
Specifically Will a jaguar xf 3.0 gen 1 306DT engine fit into a late discovery 4 2016 gen 2 engine or into a disco 5 gen 2 engine also 306DT
Has anyone been able to retrofit the gen 1 engine into the gen 2
I don't care about the ancillarys as I know these will need to change. The main thing is the actual engine block
From what I can see the cylinder heads are the same but the engine block has a slight difference for the water cooled turbo and oil pump?
Any info will be appreciated
