Land Rover Commando Axles

Some axles popped up on a 2nd hand site a while ago. Still there, complete with leafs and everything.
Question is, they are for a 70's commando, would they still be fine on a 1977 88'' series 3?

Also, could anyone tell me if the head from a 2.5n/a d would fit a 2.25d?

I wait to learn. Iv'e been around Landies nearly 40 years and never heard of a commando version.
