I'm looking to buy a 110 hardtop diesel. I have been looking for a while to find one I want in my price range. This has recently come up on autotrader? does anyone have any experience of landys with nissan engines? is it a good idea with the no. of miles in mind?

cheers

As with any engine swap you'll need to base it on it's on merits and how well/badly it was done.

That is a lot of miles, but if its been on that engine (in the 110) then it likely says that it was a success and has been reliable.

Purists will hate it. If you don't care about keeping it LR then your best bet is go look, drive and assess its condition.

On these you can replace almost any part, so despite the mileage claimed, it doesn't mean it needs to be tired or warn out.

cheers, I want to use it everyday for work and not too bothered if its not 100% LR. The ad does say that it was fitted professionally and is marked up at £1400. Definitely worth a look then?!

I asked the guy when it was fitted with the Nissan and he said he didnt know and it used to be petrol?!?
