manly for fuel economy, and any other advantages. Why would you want to re map a TD6?

my 2005 as 170,000 miles no history of having a replacement gear box, I have had my fair share of problems I don't want to had too the list, in view of feedback I will leave well alone unless I hear any good reviews, thanksA remap will lunch the G box.
Unless it has been replaced/rebuilt OBVS.
Sonnax Valvebody is a good addition if the box is still smooth / running ok..
At that mileage it's prolly been replaced.my 2005 as 170,000 miles no history of having a replacement gear box, I have had my fair share of problems I don't want to had too the list, in view of feedback I will leave well alone unless I hear any good reviews, thanks
Is there a way of telling if one has been re mapped?
I picked mine up not too long ago after a gearbox and TC refurb and the guy asked me what I had done to the engine as it pulled like a train and was the best TD6 one he had driven
I'm on the side of having it done in the next two weeks, will let you know how it goes,I'm getting around 20mpg round town and 30mpg on a good run. I guess the increase in torques isn't a problem as long as you don't boot it.
Except that a remap may well eliminate the torque reduction strategy used on gear shifts and so may knacker the gearbox regardless. What the remap is unlikely to do is improve MPGI'm getting around 20mpg round town and 30mpg on a good run. I guess the increase in torques isn't a problem as long as you don't boot it.

Hopefully the op will report back with some astonishing mpg increase..................................or maybe not.
When I want to save fuel I just go on the bike, 57mpg
