L322 TD6 Lack of power

I've come to the end of the road with the RR, the latest garage suspects a possible injector fault which would explain the rough idle and smoke etc.
Is there a section on here I can advertise it for sale as spares or repairs? Its too good to break and the right person may very well know how to get it running right. I've spent a small fortune trying to get it right and can't justify spending any more.
DIY is the only way with these vehicles, garages often can't fix them but they can empty your wallet trying. A leak off test is needed on the injectors.

There is. Unfortunately you do not qualify to be able to post. https://www.landyzone.co.uk/land-rover/for-sale-wanted-rules.169196/

Why not hang a round for a while longer, post some more, then Kazzam the thread is available to you :)

Sorry to hear about your misfortunes with your L322, as data and others have said, there are specific ways to find these things out via good diagnostic tools and protocols.
These should with the right experience point to and find all the problems. They can get very expensive without a large portion of DIY, but we're not all capable and have limits.
Hopefully you'll feel the urge one day and maybe take the plunge on another that works out for you.;)
I'm sorry you have ended up feeling this way.

good luck, can you still remove EGR kit now with the new MOT regs ?
I fitted on this year, just had mot and passed , there are many on the market just make sure that it has fitments to connect everything to it then it looks like a factory fitted part.

If the new (1st July this year) EU MOT regulations for diesels are fully implemented in the UK, supposedly they will be able to detect EGR operation. Could just be a scare story though

it was said if they can see it's been tampered with it will fail, hence need to fit one that everything connects back to like exhaust and vacuum.

There are 7 acceleration to 90% rpm and cruise cycles on rollers in the new test with new emissions testing equipment. Not sure that how it looks will make a difference.

all I can say I passed with my tub , all within requirements, I'm happy, it's always bug me that you put dirty air in the intake and expect it to run cleaner, must be some logic somewhere.

Sounds like a lot of expense for the poor MOT stations.

4roller setup?

Still a lot of expense or can they use the brake rollers?

And strap down? I can see a lot of extra cost coming for the MOT cost.

J
that still leaves the problem of all wheel drive as it puts power to the least resticted wheel, just a thought, so dumb rollers will mot work or would they ?

In France, the MOT test centres are independent of garages and already have rollers that serve several functions including brake and shock absorber testing. My P38 passed just before the new test with the emissions(opacity) coming out very low.

it's ok we are going to foot the bill.

MOT cost max is fixed by Gov.

My father always used to say they never made money on MOTs, with all the regulations and required equipment cost.
So it’s no wonder that some cowboys prey on the weak when it comes to “failures”

Mot is a good thing but allowance as to age must be taken into account, we must remember our cars are of an age where they could fail to the most newer ones and now we pay the price, after all this is not just for cleaner or safety of cars but to get them off the road.

Age and level of Euro emissions regulations the car was built to meet are taken into account.
