Hi all, firstly the car was running fine then just stopped. A mechanic came out and said there is not enough fuel pressure getting to the engine. So fuel tank filters have been cleaned and also checked the pump inside the tank which is fine, I also replaced lift pump under rear passenger seat. I then put new fuel filter on new fuel pressure sensor and a new high pressure pump and still will not start? There is still no fuel getting to the injector bar? When I spray Easy Start into the inlet manifold the engine turns over? Any help would be appreciated thx.

I had the same issue a few weeks ago, mine was the fuel pressure regulator on the HP pump. Did you fit a new or used pump?
Also do you have a diagnostic tool as they can tell you fuel pressures in the fuel rail?

I had the same issue as you, I went to the shop and when I tried to start it it took a few seconds to fire, when I got home the next time I tried it wouldn't fire. If I started it with easy start it would carry on running.
There is a common problem where the O ring in the pressure regulator fails and allows fuel to go back into the fuel system. There is a minimum pressure needed on the low pressure side which a diagnostics tool would help eliminate. I took the pipe off after the fuel filter and put it in a plastic bottle while my son turned over the engine, it won't prove the pressure but it will at least show that fuel is pumping. I didn't think about it until I had found the fault but I would suspect if you take the return pipe off and turn the engine over you will only get fuel coming out if the regulator is faulty (someone please jump in and correct me if I'm wrong, I am not that familiar with doozle's). I also did a thread about it here and got some valuable tips (and **** take along the way

BTW if you plan on keeping the L322 a Diagnostic tool (or access to one) is a must have IMO. I have used mine 6 times today already on my poorly suspension so it's paid for itself 3 time over today alone.

....and yes, the fuel pressure regulator will prevent the engine from starting...
There is a little O ring in the regulator that can wear or split meaning that fuel rail pressure will not get above the figure required to allow the engine to start.

Sorted guys thx, turned out the so called mechanic that came out to try and get me going had not put the fuel pipes back on in correct order so the fuel was just being pumped straight back in the tank! So thanks for the pics lads as once i studied them i realised what was wrong thx again
