Just a quick note to introduce & pass on some info to anyone who has or is looking to buy a L322 TD6

Owner 2003 TD6 for 13 months, got it for 9k as a trade sale with 107k from a posh motorbike dealer.

Usual faults front bushes, rear hub bushes, wheel bearings (sods to remove) Gearbox serviced, viscous fan replaced, oil breather replaced, brake caliper seals renewed, all done by my local garage, been using for 18 years, most parts supplied by Famous four.

Replaced the standard Radio/Cd with a Dynavin touch screen for a BMW E39, no problems installing, just have to trim the cage with a cutting wheel, works with steering wheel controls, so now have Sat Nav, Blue tooth handsfree , USB & Ipod connection & can watch a DVD..........when stationary! Bought it off an Ebay sellor, top bloke, twisted his arm hard for a great discount.

Replacement key Land Rover Guy Salmon £224 including coding, after much arm twisting, but dont be afraid to call, because they told me I was entitled to the Front Diff recall & arranged it with MJ Fews, booked in Loan car (Ford Fiesta....my wife laughed...there was me thinking theyd give me a TDV8) all sorted rebuilt diff, new front prop & new front driveshafts....dont be afraid to ask!

But after 117k Engine vibration, very bad, stopped car, waited 3 hours for AA, I was lucky I was told!...diagnostic check showed no fault codes..but every so often engine starts missing. Garage, told me expect a bill for injectors, but found the wiring harness, was brittle & bodged on injector No1 & causing a bed connection to injector No4, there was me thinking great a new wiring loom to the ECU,going get fleeced. Danced around the office, when Guy Salmon quoted £44+vat. Problem fixed

So if this helps any L322 owners, who come across this problem, dont get fobbed off with it needs a new set of injectors

Will now be Lording over the Manor for another 100k..........but will not be renewing with the AA.

Hi, I noticed my loom was a bit bodged with a choccy block fitted on No 4 injector wiring, sounds like it's going to be a common fault as the car ages. Do you have the part number for the wiring harness?
I assume it is the HSE model you have as you have changed the head unit, did the new unit fit ok apart from the trimming operation and did it plug into the existing connectors or is there some splicing to do?
Sounds like you got it well sorted now, any chance of a photo of the dash with the new head unit.
Thanks Ian
