Hi all, I my first advisory on an MOT in 44 years of motoring this morning, it is for corroded brake pipes, well they are 16 years old. What I can't find anywhere is a schematic drawing of the pipework and its joints so that I can work out what I need to buy. Can any of you superb knowledgeable Gents please help. It is a 2003 td6.

Double post. I gave an answer of sorts on your other thread.

Is "Folks" a better choice ? @gold rover
Or does it have to be Ladies & Gents?
I'm good with either, and I would not wish to offend, again (already have a black mark in your book as I recall).

99.9% of users seem to manage to post questions without selecting just one of the sexes. It can be guys ( in the modern parlance , meaning a group of people of both sexes), folks, people or anything else that doesn't, quite obviously, exclude one sex. It can even be without any of those, as in 'Hi wondering if someone/anybody can help', but the continued use of 'gents' just stinks of sexism/mysogyny. Which, 90% of the members of this site manage to not be.
It is a very old fashioned , almost Victorian , attitude that only men work on , or have an interest in, cars. So just wondering if the op is doing the gents thing without thinking because he is very old, or if he is doing it deliberately.

Addit: No black marks, it has been erased under to rehab of offenders guidelines ;) :p

Pretty sure very few Victorians of either sex worked on cars

If its the ones leading to the rear and crossing the rear axle, i did mine last year. Pain in the tits because they go up inside the tank guard. Thes a small access panel you can remove to look. Its formed with so many bends that i just snipped away at the pipe as i cohld pull it through. Getting the new pipe through was equally. Challenging. Dropping everything was something i couldnt be arsed doing as i think thats normally what a dealer does.
