Hello everyone,

I continue my journey to sort the issues I have with my 2006 4.2 S/C L322.

As my camera was missing (someone has opened the housing in a very inappropriate way and has cut it off) I bought a 18mm replacement as described in a thread in here previously and have successfully connected it.

I am still figuring out a correct position for it as I had to completely remove the old broken housing.

Anyway, camera works but the image is not how I want it to be. When going in the service menu and selecting the different options I have managed to settle it as I want in a Normal position (although in Wide 2 it’s a bit better), but as soon as I hit Reverse video changes and goes to something completely different which I don’t like at all.

Does it need to be coded to be in Normal or Wide 2? And if so does anyone know how?

I’ve attached images of how it looks.

Thanks in advance!

I have been there with this with mine and same as you found I can get what I think is a better view but there is no way to save it I have even been into camera options on the Gap tool and its the same no option to save setting.

My point was if there is a coding option somewhere in CCF that can be changed so the head unit display the video date in let’s say Wide 2 option. Pretty sure there must be somewhere as if you can change them options from the secret menu obviously the head unit provides that option.

Hopefully someone will know, it would be useful to everyone that has changed their factory camera :)

I've changed couple of options in CCF with my Gap tool and only option for camera is fitted or not fitted so I have looked.
Maybe it’s in the head unit module otherwise why there would be an option to change between Wide 1, Wide 2 and Normal as well as NTSC and PAL 🙄
