HI and evening all if possible i need some advice on a td6 range rover there is a precat which runs from the turbo to the first main cat..the question i have is ..should the precat have something in it or should it just be a straight through piece of pipe? meaning hollow..i hope a member can answear this for me and thanks ...

thank you for your time in replying. i did take out the cat at the bottom too.but when i throttle to pull away i seem to get a exhuast noise... on the short piece of pipe from the turbo there is a can shaped bit in the exhuast mine is hollow should something be in this piece..the exhuast has no leaks in it..

mines just got a flexi joint in that section, they do make a strange sound through the exhaust though after the cats been taken out. mines a straight through exhaust now and it whistles like a firework going off when i take my foot of the throttle, sounds like a tvr when its on the throttle though.:D
