So I've had this issue for a while, though it's been less noticeable during summer.
Either way, with the thermometer moving south I need to sort it.

So yeah...
No (well, some) heat in the cabin. Coolant is recently changed, thermostat seems to be functioning as it should. So from what I've read the likely culprit of the matter is the heater control valve.
Seems reasonably easy to try out, either way.

Being a BMW in disguise I'm guessing there is a BMW-part number to be found? Maybe even a strict Bosch(?) article number?
Anyone knows?
Genuine LR-part seems (as ever) ridiculously expensive, so I'd rather not. And while there's someone on YT saying that the chinese parts are alright I'd also rather not.

Thanks in advance!

I did that valve on my 3.6 TDV8 and it was SO MUCH FUN to access. Although it was knackered, I still didn't get any heat as it was the single one that diverts the coolant to the Webasto heater that was the actual cause so that's one to watch.

As the OP has the M62, I guess it's unlikely that it would have a diesel fuel burning heater in it so probably not likely to be an issue there . More an FYI for any diesel powered ones that spot the thread.

Yes the m62 doesn't have the fbh fitted unless in a cold climate some people did spec it when new but they are very rare indeed.
I was going todo a fbh install to mine having sounced everything needed over time including a new circuit board for the fbh to work via petrol but with an engine rebuild and ukez interruption it never happened
