L322 Lower Mileage or Younger?

I am toying with the idea of getting rid of my 1998 P38 DSE and getting an L322 4.4 V8.

Two that have caught my eye at the moment, one is a 2004 Vogue SE (think it should be an Autobiography) with 85,000 and the other a 2005 Vogue with 106,000.

Is it better going for an older but lower mileage or newer but higher mileage?
One is near to me also and the other is down the other end of the country.

Yeah that could be a worry, as well as having to learn a foreign language to go down there.

Condition/history rather than milage. Could have had 85k of neglect as opposed to 105k of motorway cruising and proper maintenance

Not a Vogue SE as they didnt come out till 2005/6 or later.....could be an autobiography due to the two tone seats and entertainment package....

As for immaculate...not so much, dent on the back, scuffs on the rear of the centre console, etc....

Also to note, the headlamp wiper hasnt parked properly....this can cause a massive battery drain....

Choose wisely.....me personally I'd go for the silver 2005 model....might be more mileage, but looks better looked after at the photos.

silver car looks better but I do not believe the mileage.

I think both cars have been played with a fair bit and had paint.
The handbrake on the silver car looks all the way up and to me that is a tell tail of inadequate maintenance. If that's some I can see, what can i not.

Also the price of the silver car is quite jigh I think for what it is...

please remember 20" tyres are £200/corner...

If you are ever down near Bristol you can come and look at mine: 2004 (with 2006 upgrade front and Supercharged lights and fins etc.) Autobiography 4.4 V8 LPG (stag system)

Hit 170,000 miles this week and it looks like only 70,000. If they are treated right (gearbox oil changed regularly, quality service (not nec Main dealer!!) etc. they can be faultless like mine.

So condition not mileage!!

Red one for me - but very care fully inspect it and if not nice, walk.

But the colour really suits the car as did a similar colour on the '38, silver to me is beige in car colours - lot cheaper so you'll have some wedge to have a decent service etc. and get rid of that minor dent in the tailgate. Much nicer interior, too

There must be some history somewhere in the dealer network if only up to so far. Find the original reg from DVLA?
