What is the state of the battery?can anyone please help my 2003 L322 TD6 been parked up for 10 months ,now no pixels on display ,suspension is hard wont lower or raise.also if i drive autobox feels like its in some low mode goes through all gears but when you slow down there is a thud before it stops
yes battery all good & tested alternator charges ok too.but thats as far as i can do ,please helpIs the new one fully charged and reading >12.6v?
If it's running then you can drive a few feet with low then hi selected a few times. Or, can you not select either?yes battery all good & tested alternator charges ok too.but thats as far as i can do ,please help
That’s a good approach - one problem at a time. You say suspension is hard and wont raise or lower, you sure its not down on the stops?
Break it down into bits of problems that may well not be related.
Clunks can be suspension bushes.
Suspension issues, compressor?

Maybe get the gears sorted first?
As Kermit says, drive a few feet and try selecting various gears / low / high a few times…?
not too sure if its on bumpstopsThat’s a good approach - one problem at a time.

best to figure exactly what the issue is before asking whynot too sure if its on bumpstops
it was ok before i parked it up so not a bush problem
but why wont the up down work to raise suspension
why the gearbox issue
Run it for long enough for the compressor to fill the tank. Then try steering lock to lock before changing heights.not too sure if its on bumpstops

Cos you have a problem.but why wont the up down work to raise suspension
why the gearbox issue
12.6 volts, that is not fully charged. Is the new one fully charged and reading >12.6v?
"Battery is good". What voltage do you have? These cars are very voltage critical.yes battery all good & tested alternator charges ok too.but thats as far as i can do ,please help
No it's not, but anything over 12.6 is a starting point that should be sufficient to not cause immediate low battery errors.12.6 volts, that is not fully charged.
That is why if the voltage is on the low side to start with, you are rapidly in trouble. No it's not, but anything over 12.6 is a starting point that should be sufficient to not cause immediate low battery errors.
In my opinion it's just as important to check what voltage the battery drops to during cranking
Plus is several ECUs are getting ready for take off, then that will put significant load on the battery and drop the reading
