L322 heated seat odd problem

Hello all,
Car is a 2004 l332 4.4 V8 Vouge.Both Front heated seats are dead. No lights on dash.
Have checked fuse and ok. Have checked all connections etc and ok. Code reader recognises button been depressed so switch seems ok. All info relates to seat buttons lighting up etc but mine seem totally dead. Any ideas?

Check the wires beneath the seats for 12volts when the buttons are pressed then go searching a little deeper.

Haha I know it’s not a disaster just irritating! That’s my next step but wouldn’t the button still light up even briefly if the issue was at the seat itself before it disabled? However that does seem most likely.

It depends on whether the buttons are the last thing in the circuit?

Maybe the bulbs have failed? Or being an over complicated L322, it's possible that the lamps will only light if the seat elements are intact and draw current. Element failure in heated seats is not uncommon, the element can be tested with a DVM on Ohms.
