There are sure to be some but a slightly less general location might bring out those who know of more local suppliers.

Anywhere in the uk or Ireland. It has to be shipped anyways so makes no odds.
Closer to norrhwest is prefer but if any good recommendation from anywhere i will take.

Also more if they rebuild with new sonnax values and pressure pump.
Also tc stall speed to be reduced.

If im going to pay for it i want it done right, not to have to to replace it again in the next 40k as it will be towing 90% of the time

New box on its way.

Looking for the repair manual or just the section for the gearbox removel.
My fitter likes following by the book.

Any help be great

I think yours will be covered in rave which is in the tech archive. Even if not, the removal procedure in rave should be close enough for yours.

New box in. £2.5k solved the problem lol.
Needs a new transfer box as well now.
So that's 1k again.
The joys of motoring

Holy gold mine batman!!
You could have bought another??
You obviously like your bus and your other half as well?

But if i had bought another whos to say that the box in that would not have given up as well.

It was bought well under market value so even with transfer box its still cheap.

Haha the other half has her evoque, but its no use for me towing lol.

Very good point fella, better the devil! And.... If' you do decide to sell it, its a very good selling point for someone in the know who may be buying it from you.;)

About par for the course. Mine was re-con and fitted for around £2.5k a couple of years ago.
Now that the cost of buying has dropped , my signature on here is even more relevant.

Haha too true. You have to go into these eyes wide open.
Im lucky as i have the staff todo the work.
And tbh its part of running gear.

Will never sell it tbh, was bought as a work horse, the day it retires it wont be worth a lot.
I dont think it out live the 22yo shogun but better suited for towing

You never know. Mine is now 16yrs old , on approx 120k miles , with most of the big work done. The 22yr point isn't that far away and if you look around the site, there are some models that are over 30yrs old.
Just because the manufacturer made a mess of them, doesn't mean that looked after properly they won't still be around in 30yrs, just like other Range Rovers. What annoys me is people who buy them cheap to treat them cheap and then say they're crap.

Aye mine is 17y years old and getting older!

Still a good looking RR the P38.

The 2002 L322 i've been doing the engine on is only a few months newer than my 'ole P38 and completely different!!

That said the l322 is a good looking car, and comfy too!! ;)

I wonder how much longer we will be allowed to drive them? Already there is a proposal to ban vehicles over 18 years old from the greater Paris area next year, so we will not be able to use the P38 to visit our handicapped son in Drancy.
Could be riots in the offing as the people who run old cars in Paris and elsewhere are generally at the bottom of the income scale and cannot afford to replace their cars.

More or less the same in the UK. Pressure is being intensified to get rid of IC engine vehicles.
Whether or not there are riots will depend on how cheap and effective the public transport alternatives are.

The French are more inclined to kick off than the English as illustrated by the Gillets Jeune protesting over Macron's fuel tax hike.
Electric is not the answer, overall they are more polluting and there is not the generating capacity to support an all electric future.
