Hi
I've a 2002 L322 TD6 and recently experienced the "Air suspension inactive" message on the dash. The suspension was frozen in the "normal" mid position and the inhibit switch was illuminated indicating the fault.
My dealer has reset it twice (worked ok for around a day each time) and on the thrid time suggested a new compressor. I've just replaced the compressor with a brand new genuine part.
However, i still receive the "air susp inactive" message on the dashboard, still frozen in the mid position but I now have no illumination on the suspension level control. Nothing illuminated on the inhibit switch and nothing on the visual level indicator.
Does the fault need to be cleared by Testbook prior to the new compressor kicking into action - I was under the impression that a new compressor could be simply plugged in to cure the fault.
Any help or thoughts gratefully received before I pay more money to the dealer!
Many thanks
