L320 snapping /shredding belts

Anyone else had problem with tdv6 shredding belts? This is the 3rd belt in 6 weeks . Changed tensioner with the belt but still doing the same . Everything runs fine for about 2 weeks then it's sliced and wrapping round fan again

That doesn't look right, think it's broked

I'd start by checking for play in the idlers/tensioners. Give each a wiggle and a spin

Only one that's got movement is the power steering pump I believe it is. Its inly s tiny amount though

As above, or the belt was fitted incorrectly one groove out so that the edge of the belt was running on the pully rim

I'd start the engine without a belt and check the crank pulley fir movement aswell.
Has any other work been done to it recently?

Have you checked all the idler pulleys as well, normally any doubt all the tensioners and pulleys are changed out especially if you don't know their age. Any squeaks, bearing noise or play should be eliminated.

Hi, @bertone902 , out of curiosity what year is ur RRS and have u had the oil pump changed at any point plse

was the tensioner a genuine Land Rover one and new bolts fitted plse

indeed something doesn’t look right , will just double check some workshop notes I have

Picture one, first post, the belt is not sitting on the pulley correctly, one v is not supported, so is this pulley out of line ? Looks like the alternator
