Anybody know what the correct fuel pressure reading should be for RRS L320 2.7 2007 model. I bought it as a non runner so starting from scratch. The usual crank snapping isn’t the cause as it turns over nicely.
But less than 1 bar on diagnosis reader. Are HP pumps common to fail on these ?
Cheers Chris

Slide on over to the disco3 forum, guy called robbis has an excellent guide on the low pressure fuel pump side of things, Iirc they are real low, not even 1 bar before the hpfp?

Ps engine can still turn over nicely even with snapped crank or spun shells.
Have you read the codes?

Is the cam belt tensioner still doing its thing?

The engine does fire very now and then. But only sounds like a single fire. P0087 was stored on Land Rover diagnostic. But on Delphi FP reads 600bar when cranking. So a bit confused.com
Anybody tell me where the fuel pressure control valve is located? As I’ve had these fail on Mercedes and lost all fuel pressure from HPFP

Its a dirty trick but I would give it a small squirt of easy start, that way if it tries to cough into life then you know its most likely a fuel issue.

Haha
I was going to try the old “sniff” trick as if it runs on that the engine is mechanically OK.
I’ll pick some up tomorrow and cross my fingers
Cheers

Is the fuel pressure sensor also act as the pressure regulator on these L320s as I know some commonrail systems adopt this system

Low pressure pump in the tank, hpfp or even the rear belt.
You should have 6 or 7 psi at the fuel pressure rail check on the shradder valve as as starting point
The p0087 is low fuel pressure code

I assume DiD is disco in Drag if so i like that:D:):):):)

Well it was Disco in Disguise but I like your version better
