L322 l 322 headlight 2003

hi all td6 2003 vogue diesel ,xenon headlights
yep i have the awful xenon headlights . The drivers side dip /headlight comes on ok but after sometimes 5,10,15 minutes (varies) it goes out . If I switch the the engine off on the key turn back on it lights up ok for another 10 or 15 minutes .Then oddly sometimes it will stay on for the whole motoring trip.When i get into it ,it records over voltage one time then sometimes low voltage . Ive changed the bulb from right to left and same occurs .Ive now replaced the bulbs but same effect . Any help appreciated

If the fault stays with the drivers side after you swapped the bulbs I'd be looking for a wiring issue. I had the same after the previous owner cowboy fitted 2006 lights.

Have you swapped the ballasts from left to right? I'd give that a go also to see if the fault moves.

@backinblack, that is some beautiful wiring right there! I can imagine the previous owner dusting his hands and congratulating himself on a job well done after that. You must have been thrilled!

And then I ruined it by fitting a plug
