my Freelander 53 plate face lift td4 auto had knocks and rattles from under the car.No matter what i checked i could not find any faults with the suspension.I recently changed the front brake pads and decided to check all the tire pressures on recently replaced tyres and found pressures ranging from 50 psi to 38 psi ,i reset all pressures to 30 psi all round and hey presto all knocks and rattles have now gone.what a simple fix made by accident. MORAL OF THE STORY DON'T TAKE TYRE FITTERS WORD WHEN HE SAYS HE HAS PUT CORRECT PRESSURES IN.

I never trust anybody but my self to do them
The Freelander is fussy about tyres. All tyres MUST be the same make, type and size, with least worn on the rear, and the pressure needs to be set accurately too. If this isn't strictly adhered to, the 4X4 system WILL fail.
