Freelander 1 Knocking??

Hi All,

I (the other half does! I just try and fix it where I can!) have a FL1 Td4, Manual Diesel.

It's knocking?? The sound is in the front drivers side, it knocks when changing gears! When you try and give it more power? And struggling to go beyond 60mp? (It will go to 70 and beyond? When you get there!).

Replaced:
New clutch and flywheel.
Front driveshafts
Propshaft with VCU
Reconditioned IRD (with warranty)
Front calipers.

Any help or advice much appreciated

Gearbox/engine lower stabiliser mount if it has one?

The sounds can appear to be from somewhere when in fact they are not - so I’d look further than front o/s.
Check the rear diff mounts.

I have been driver and passenger in the car! It is definitely on the driver's side!

Not fitted, was under the car when changing the IRD!

It should have a lower engine mount they all do.
