Knocking on steering -Td5

Hello all
Wondering if anyone can help me out…

Knocking on the steering.

I went round a corner this evening and felt and heard a knock,….sounds silly but I felt it in the pedals and the steering wheel….
I started turning the steering wheel quickly{F1 warm your tyres up style} and was getting a loud knocking / bumping……again this may sound silly but it was like having a pendulum under the bonnet attached to the steering…..bump, bump, bump..bump..

Any help would be appreciated

Is it doing it only when you are mooving or when you are stationary?

Only when moving.......its now a really loud...bang,bang,bang....
and the front end is very scitish{spelling}

Bit of an update...

Took it to a Land Rover garage this morning.....it had the track rod???? changed......something about being a lot of play in them....

Anyway its sort of cured it, shes not so skitish on the front end but shes still knocking when i turn the steering from side to side over about 10mph.....

They now say its the bushings on the anti-role bar......they had to order them so they will be fitted Monday......hope that cures it.

Any thoughts.........
