Knocking noise!!

Hey,

I've got a 2005 Freelander TD4. When going round a corner under power there is a slight knocking noise coming from the front end. The noise is not there when accelerating in a straight line and only when going round corners.

Any ideas??

Are all the tyres identical (same make, same type?) with least worn on the rear?

if you going round a right hand bend and you get the knock it will be the left hand one and vice versa

Could be anti roll bar hitting body work

Hey,

Still trying to figure this out.

All tyres are same make etc and replaced at same time.

Anti roll bars replaced only a few months ago.

Noise is worse on right corners but has started doing it on both. Are we thinking CV joints!!

Worth having a look at the lower engine tie bar?

With the car on the ground reach in to the drive shafts and give them a good pull and push. They should have sideways movement where the joint moves in the cup but not forward and back.
