Hi All, So this has been on my mind for a while but I just keep ignoring it... my 2.5 Petrol seems to be a bit noisy/on the knocky side and I'm not sure what it is. I have one of those mechanics stethoscope things and still can't really seem to pinpoint it, so I was just wondering what people on here thought who know a bit more about this sort of stuff than me.

Generally when cold it'll be quite noisy - both videos attached its not warmed up yet. Once properly up to temp and it's been for a bit of a drive it will quieten right down at idle, but there always seems to be a bit of a knock under load when the revs are fairly low. I don't think this is so prevalent at higher rpm, although it could just be getting downed out.

Oil pressure is good, once started it'll quickly get up to about 50-55psi and just sits there, only dropping down to about 40 idling when hot. When driving it seems to range from about 45 to nearly 60psi. Compression seems pretty strong too, so overall it seems a fairly strong engine, I would hope anyway! I've just checked the valve clearance yesterday and that did seem to quieten down that side of things slightly but that clearly wasn't the only thing. Thoughts?
