when it says engine disabled, usually you have to be turning the ignition. this is the point when you should be able to enter the code in the door.

when i enter code what should happen,should doors make a noise,should something come up on display,because after entering code nothing does so i put key in ignition and disabled comes up,so i take key out and try again,after three times have to wait 40 mins and try again

normally after entering code all the doors will unlock together as opposed to just the drivers door. after its unlocked all the doors. press lock on the fob and hold key in lock position for 5 secs. back to vertical and let go of button. then the other way while holding unlock for 5 secs and it should allow you to start the car

well theirin lies my problem,i dont get unlocking of doors,so Land Rover man says door doesn't recognise code,so it could be that doors need re-setting or it's the BECM

it could be that the door micro switch isnt recieving the code. would it be too much hassle for you to take the door skin off and then try it? sometimes the sill lock arm drags on the door card and can stop it recieving the code properly or the wire could be off on the microswitch. i had trouble with mine but when i took off the door card it was catching on the sill lock and interfering. maybe only missing one of the turns but its enough to scramble the code that yr trying to enter
