i done it, well not a kenlowe, i used a pacet 16 inch fan and temp sensor in top hose, should realy be bottom hose as i want it to work determined on the temp of the water go in to the engine, not out of engine, BUT no space realy on 4.6 P38 bottom hose.
i used the adjustable switch and fiddled untill the temp gauge didnt realy move that much for fan to come on when stationary.
its a capable fan, very impresed and it fits directly onto the matrix of the radiator, only cooling the bit it touches but it does work very well.
i paid £240 for the whole lot from scorpion racing. prob available cheaper than that now!

Morning Redrange

Thanks for the feedback

Yep your certainly right you can source them cheeper I have a price for a kenlowe from Paddocks of 110.00 & the vat will check that its the full kit including sensor switch.

I was thinking of doing it as i was really supprised that a 2001 motor ( in my case) was still running viscus fans and it will certainly help with winter warming

cheers for the advice

will keep you updated on my progress

happy trails
