I use old diesel engine oil mixed wiv er smidge white spirits, used this fer years cheap un chearfull and it works better than anyfink yer can buy. . . . .:) :) :)

I Applied linseed oil to mine but after a couple of weeks it looked blotchy and as if it was peeling. I decided it looked ****e so i have now started to us a product by autosmart called highstyle. dont know if it is available to the public but it is great. You can use it on any plastics and also as a tyre blacker

Since last september I put pictures inhere with the bumpers etc.. treated with linseed oil I washed my car once and the bumpers still look ok, maybe you washed your car too often ??:D :D (it is not a lasting solution but neither are these pricey things you can buy in the specialised shops, after some weeks with a weekly wash of the car they have to be re-applied again as well, at least that's my experience from the past when i was still working and had the time to wash my car on a weekly basis, now being retired I haven't got the time anymore to do so ....:D :D :D :D )

I bin using my old diesel oil wiv er smidge of white spirit fer years [cheep as chips] and an old black un white news paper on glass after washin it [comes up better than anything ya can buy] un i always put er smidge of vaseline on rear exhaust un talc on the seats. . . . .:) :)

I use a bumper dressing (white milky liquid) or Mer bumper dressing. Both only last a few weeks if that. Ive been thinking about using a tyre dressing because it seems less likely to wash off.

Cheers

I use a Silicone spray on the plastice trim on my FL.............as there is loads of it it takes nearly a whole can!! But looks great afterwards. Only lasts a couple of washes thou.

Shoe polish works a treat. But I am using the T-cut black bumper wax it lasts for ages.

The prob with the early FL bumpers is that they remain grey no matter what you do. The only ones they 'dress up' well with the bumper products are the later black bumpers.

Of course you could colour code them with the metallic paint

If I colour coded them she'd look the same as all the others, at least this way no one has a FL like mine :D
