kardon amp

Hi everyboby i have a freelander facelift hse 2.5 v6 2004
with harmon/kardon system with becker navigation the sound doesn't seem to go that load when playing cds does the amp only work the sub in the boot well or is the amp not working any help i would be greatfull

There is a distinct difference between the volume of the radio and the volume of a CD.

If there is a huge difference check the connectors to the changer under the drivers seat and the other magic box under the passenger seat. Something moving or rolling around under the seat may have knocked the plugs.

Also compare the volume of a CD played via the changer and one slotted into the dash instead of the Nav Disc.

If there has been a major leak and the box of tricks up the back has got soaked - you may have big probs.

They are all like that.

I don't think there is any fault as it's been like that since new - I just turn up the volume a bit - only snag is when you change back to Radio, or when the Traffic News comes in - Bejasus -it's LOUD, LOUD, LOUD.
