it's a long shot but have you tryed reseting the fuel cut off switch(rubber switch on passenger side of bulkhead).i had to change the wiper motor on mine recently and when i was hammering the retaining clips in that hold the plastic grill in between the windscreen and the bonnet the cut off switch popped out due to the shock of the hammer. when i tryed to start it it would not fire and the central locking was clicking.
