Sadly, with the L405 in the garage for the last 2 1/2 weeks and no imminent return, I’ve realised how problematic it can be not just needing it daily for work, but being the only car in the family and me being the family taxi driver!
So, I’ve gone and bought a 2011 FL2 HSE SD4 which I’ve been really enjoying for the last two days…
Drat, can’t post pictures
Sorry, this post is a bit rubbish

Welcome back to FL2 ownership. Sorry to hear yer big Freelander is broke'd. Whats up with it?

Pic posting is broken at the moment. Copy and paste works for some. Or post a link from the likes of imgur.

Hello Lord Hippo,
Thanks for remembering my Freelandering history! It’s been 7 or 8 years since I’ve owned one.
The big Freelander is very poorly, with a new common rate fitted (no good) and HP diesel pump and injectors under investigation. It’s going to take weeks / months hence the Freelander.
I only hope I can actually afford to fix it ‍♂️

Well, that worked!

The ”big Freelander” is still off the road, though they’ve finally taken the high pressure fuel pump off.
I’ve already put over 4,000 miles on the FL2.
The funny thing is that there are quite a few things I prefer about the FL2 over the L405 😮

Well Hippo

Well, I’ve kept it alongside the Fatty and I’ve clocked up 15,250+ miles in it in the 6 months I’ve owned it 😁
If you've used it for 15k miles, its probably saved you a few bob in fuel. doubt its enuf to cover 2 x tax, insurance, mot etc - but will go some way. Maybe put the full fat on limited miles insurance to go a bit further!
