Must need my head read but my wife thought it was a good idea:D

Picking it up next week and it's a complete shed but at least I can weld, there's no engine or gearbox and it's had an axle over lift which I'll be putting back to normal height, it looks like a 2a from the pics but it might be a 2.

I'll get some pics up when I collect it and it'll make you laugh when you see it but I'll be picking your brains over the coming months.

Time for medication:5bwilly_nilly:

Shall we have a'who's got the biggest knacker competition' as a form of self help. Mines got moss growing on it[emoji3]

Mine *had* moss *and *lichen* growing on it.
Borrowed a mate's ultra high power pressure washer and graffiti remover and stripped all the paint.......

I bought mine just after Christmas , apart from being really thirsty (13mpg) petrol its pretty reliable , has broken down twice but nothing a screwdriver couldnt fix , I have no mechanical experience and maintain mine using advice (forum) and patience. Parts are really cheap and its normally a case of adjusting rather than replacing. Good luck its well worth it.

Oh and if anyone takes the mick just ask them if their saloon will still be on the road in 30+ years.

haha THAT is a project. good luck fella!

start a build thread asap :)

Shall do, every time I look at a picture of it I just laugh, I'm sure when I see it in the flesh on Wednesday I won't be laughing but it can't be that bad can it.....

Many many questions.....

First one, anyone refitted axles if so how do you tell they're lined up correctly and not off centre? Is it a case of measuring them or are there marks to help you line them up? I've got a 90 so I don't have any experience of cart springs:eek:

that looks like a brilliant project! hope you've got lots of cash and some time off this summer.
can't wait to follow this one

Er no, no cash just a welder and a sheet steel supplier not far away, I can't wait to see what state it's in inside, not worried about the chassis cos I've replaced most of my own due to rot.

Got to source engine, gearbox, transfer box, wheels/tyres and steering box that I know of, oh and door tops and get it registered
