P38A Just bloody don’t. Stupid idea!

So I fixed my brakes yesterday, over a few weeks I have replaced all callipers, guide pins, discs and pads and after a ridiculously complex brake bleed she is now working and stopping like a dream!

Well, I say working.

On the way home the drivers outside door pull broke and just pulls too far out, the tailgate won’t open, no sound or life at all from the button as if it is locked, and the passenger side window winds down - but not up - so I now have a half open window that I cannot close just as the weather gets biblical again!

Looking forward to green laning next weekend IF I can fix my door and window woes before then.

Will nothing just stay working for a few weeks? Give me a bloody break!

So if anyone asks should they buy a P38.....

I'm not sure mine will if I keep spending this much time 'working' on the old girl.....

I'm lucky with mine, she loves the brand as much as I do - and is willing to slum it on cold beans on toast as necessary!

You mean Jamie Oliver's lockdown recipe, Aubergine and sweet potato curry on saffron rice , using whatever alternative ingredients you have in your cupboard .Ends up as Beans on toast.

The cost of the above just about equals what i paid for the damn thing and yet by some sort of sedistic pain i still love the bloody thing

I did a thread ages ago totally up my first years cost with my previous L322 - I think it was around £5k - fuel included that is....
