hi peeps..i hope this is in the right section. iv just bought myself a 06 range rover v6 in june this year..my 1st priority was getting a service on the engine and gearbox..since buying it i noticed a slight judder as i pulled out of my drive in a morning that went after a minute of driving..but today in top gear as soon as i hit 70mph on the motorway it started juddering under load..as soon as i let off it went..also l have had a slight knock as i went over bumps that i can feel thru my left foot..it didnt do it all the time but last night one 1 road it knocked alot more than it ever has done as it went iver bumps..last weekend i changed the stabiliser arms on the front which were shot..does anyone have a idea what i need to check next

Worth while checking lower suspension arms as well. The ball joints on the arms and the hub carrier can have play, also the big rubber bushes on the ends of the arms can become tired and break up.
These can vibrate at speed also.
Tyre condition can also do this if the tyres are old and have fallen out of balance or lost a weight.
 
thanks for the reply mark..i will check those tomorrow..my 1st thought was omg this could be a expensive problem..the range rover has only covered 12k in the last 5yrs so now its in use daily i expected a few faults/repairs its just horrible feeling knowing something is wrong with my pride and joy
 
So it is the sport, not the "full fat"
Makes a difference as the drivetrain will be different. @gstuart is our resident d3/sport expert, hopefully he may have some ideas.
Just hope it's not a broken crank!

Best if you call it the L322 then, or FFRR (Full Fat)... and it's doesn't have a V6, it's got a straight 6.
Cranks only an issue on V6 which are fitted to Disco's and Sports.

L322 got V8 diesels later on, 3.6 and 4.4
 
Oh...in that case it may be torque convertor and/or the gearbox, it's as soft as cheese on the TD6 I'm afraid, the other road related noise will be a ball joint or ARB drop link possibly. (cheap)
There are 2 control arms per side and they are also relatively cheap, one comes with the bush and ball joint fitted whilst the other comes with just the bush, the ball joint for that arm is a seperate item.
 
thanks for the reply peeps..today was a lucky day for me....the high speed judder was missing balance weights..the new tyres that were fitted for the last mot didnt have the rims cleaned enough when the stick on weights were fitted.. iv had all 4 wheels balanced again and it drives smoooooth.. i still need to investigate the odd knock i get and see how smooth it pulls away in the morning when its been stood over night ..i will check all your suggestions as soon i i get chance and report my findings.. ..once again thanks for all your advice and help
