Take it from me fellas, NEVER compliment your car. Its asking for trouble! I've never been superstitious but I'm really starting to question it now. Everytime I say I'm pleased with something its usually the very next thing to go up in smoke.

Just wondering if its a rule of thumb or something! Latest is just last week we were talking in here about shocks and I went on record with how pleased I was with mine. Lo and behold this morning I took a little traffic calming speed bump at a slight angle and watched the front corners oscillate up and down, first left then right then left then right... ah bollix!

it is odd, i was telling the g/f how my car would sail through mot. yeah it failed on the track rod, the big bit not the end and the handbrake not working!!

ive never used the handbrake, mainly cos it didnt work but also because theres no use for it!!

then i have had issues with my card so i couldnt pay for the bloody part!! plenty of cash in account, works at atm but wouldnt work over the internet!

rang the bank 3 times, finally they admitted there was a block on the card for fraud prevention, removed block and finally ordered part!! lets hope it goes on easy!!

this is all sounding really familiar...in my case i just have to think about some part on the car which hasn't gone wrong and , yep next 48 hrs its fecked. I always seem to be palying catchup. I bought more tools for fixing this motor than any other car I have ever owned. I can understand why people hold onto them, they have invested a lot of time and blood and tears.

yer right fett. she'll never be 100% but the beauty is that she ... oops! almost did it again! never mind, we'll leave it at you're right fett!

Know that well was gonna post on here how long inbetween problems i seem to have had 18 months trouble but the bastard fought back got in car after work on bump stops wont rise up at all and what a time with all this nice weather and no garage

how about another wierd phenomenon: you log in to landyzone and read about some poor bastard with an impossible problem you'd never even heard of or imagined. you shake your head, thank your stars, consider yourself lucky, cross yourself , spit three times or whatever and guess what - next day you've got the same problem!

edit: ok wanted to check something so i took a few minutes to scan through the thread titles going back a few months. you know what, the problems come in batches! first you'll see a lot of people writing about brake problems. then a few weeks later its all non-starting engines. then it could be gearboxes, diffs that sort of thing. its spooky! d-d-d-do you think the damn cars are c-c-c-communicating with each other????:D

(ok ok, i'll put away the bong now. sigh.)
